Transfer - Desk Phone

There are two (2) options available to transfer a call, a “warm” transfer and a “cold” transfer. 

Warm Transfer

The “warm” transfer places the caller on hold and allows you to speak to the intended recipient first to ensure they are available before the call is transferred. 

To complete a “warm” transfer: 

1. Place the caller on hold by pressing the BLF/speed dial button associated with the intended recipient. This will place the original call on hold and initiate a new call with the intended recipient. 
2. If the intended recipient agrees to take the call, use the arrow buttons to go to the first caller and press the softkey displaying "transfer" on the screen. The two call legs will merge and drop the transferring phone completing the “warm” transfer process.

Cold Transfer

The "cold” transfer simply transfers a call without checking with the intended recipient first before the transfer is completed. 

 To complete a “cold” transfer simply press the “transfer” softkey and choose extension/speed dial associated with the intended recipient. This will complete the “cold” transfer process.
